(423) Increased Use of Enflux as a Comprehensive Assessment Tool to Assist Faculty and Staff

Objective: To describe expanding use of Enflux as a comprehensive assessment tool to assist and empower faculty and staff and enhance student and programmatic success.

Methods: Enflux was adopted by UCSOP in 2020-2021 and used primarily to strengthen student advising and early intervention. Through ongoing assessment and feedback, the early intervention process was continuously strengthened and standardized during subsequent academic years. Enflux use for academic advising unveiled additional opportunities to expand application to assessment and workflow of school committees, annual faculty evaluations, experiential education, and the self-study process.

Results: Expanded Enflux use streamlined information to allow access to multiple data points in a centralized location, expedient data analysis, and the ability to readily.provide information to individual faculty. The data available for faculty to inform student advising resulted in more impactful and standardized advising and early intervention efforts. Use of Enflux through committees created efficiencies for faculty, department chairs, and the executive committee to monitor progress and achieve strategic plan initiatives. Recent incorporation of CORE ELMS dashboards provided data analysis previously completed by individual staff in the office of experiential education, thus impacting workload efficiency. Enflux use throughout the self-study process facilitated access to data for all sub-committees and enhanced their review and analysis, further promoting faculty and staff utilization and collaboration.

Conclusion: The expanding use of Enflux proves to be an invaluable tool to assist faculty and staff in promoting student and programmatic success. A comparable level of assessment without the availability of Enflux would significantly increase workload and require additional personnel.
