(412) Empowering Success: A Multifaceted Approach to Continuous Professional Development and Wellness

At Campbell University's College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (CPHS) Doctor of Pharmacy Program, we prioritize the development of our faculty and staff, recognizing their success is fundamental to our mission. We cultivate a culture of continuous professional development through dynamic initiatives derived from our assessment and feedback processes. Our approach is multifaceted, addressing 6 key areas: teaching, research, leadership, technology, mentorship, and community. We offer a diverse array of workshops and programs utilizing internal and external resources, tailored to foster collaboration and enhance knowledge and skills. Examples of these initiatives include curricular and peer reviews, assessment workshops, technology training, advisor training, interprofessional lunch and learns, and leadership programs. Our faculty are further provided with comprehensive, up-to-date training to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare landscape. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our program demonstrated agility and responsiveness, offering specialized training on educational technology and virtual engagement strategies through proprietary certification for Online Course Design to ensure seamless continuity of education and support for our students. Our proactive approach to addressing burnout through professionally led workshops underscores our commitment to holistic wellbeing. Notably, our 'Elf-Improvement' series exemplifies our dedication to fostering a sense of community and wellbeing among faculty and staff during the holiday season, with workshops ranging from holiday photography to self-care techniques. By prioritizing personal and professional growth, we not only strengthened our program but also empowered individuals to excel in their roles.
