At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Recall examples of how the history of pharmacy has been integrated into administrative, science, and clinical courses.
  • Develop a pharmacy history activity that complements content in a required pharmacy course.
Looking for ways to further engage students during class? Embedding short pharmacy history activities into required courses may help students gain insight into the content while also furthering their appreciation of our profession’s heritage and transformation. This session will highlight how short pharmacy history activities may be embedded into administrative, science and clinical/experiential courses. Attendees will leave with specific examples and resources to implement activities at their institutions. Being a “history buff” is not necessary!
