Student Services SIG Programming (Mini Session 1 of 2): Remediation Re-envisioned: One School's Work to Overhaul the Remediation Process

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss remediation policies focused on student success and competency within a Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum.
  • Identify remediation policies that focus on identification and early intervention for students at risk for remediation.
This session will provide an overview of the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy's current remediation program. Important components of the current program include a specific early intervention program and creation of a learning specialist position. Review of the previous remediation program and important considerations included when developing the current remediation program will be discussed. Session will highlight positive changes as well as future directions.
