Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe a successful process that focuses on teaching excellence with support from traditional career advancement benchmarks and define benefits of and opportunities for integration of this process into personal and institutional career progression.
This program will provide an overview of a successful career progression and promotion process for non-tenured faculty on an associated track. Examples of early and mid-career faculty who effectively progressed and were promoted along this pathway utilizing the pillar of teaching excellence will be highlighted. Additional benefits to this unique approach to promotion will also be described.
