List and describe four ways colleges and schools of pharmacy can connect mid-career faculty service with individual goals to encourage retention and readiness for advancement
Mid-career faculty (MCF) goals and aspirations must be considered to develop and prepare them for advancement, be it in rank or into higher education leadership. This session will present data from a 2022 national survey investigating the career aspirations and professional development needs of MCF and will use case vignettes to highlight how a systematic, individualized approach to coupling institutional and professional service with MCF career goals can encourage retention and improve readiness for advancement.
