At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
Use effective debriefing techniques and develop reflections and corresponding rubrics to assess experiential learning activities in the simulation and clinical practice settings.
This session will be focused on a formalized approach for utilizing intentional debriefing and reflective writing as quality assurance and student learning measures for simulation and clinical practice experiential education activities. Debriefing techniques, facilitator training and rubric development will be discussed. The use of these techniques in interprofessional education activities will be highlighted through the discussion.
