Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe principles and techniques for incorporating ChatGPT into pharmacy ethics instruction, including developing and assessing ethical scenarios and activities for use in the classroom
  • Explain the necessary requirements for creating engaging, AI-assisted ethics teaching materials that resonate with students and align with contemporary pharmacy practice.
Explore a new frontier in pharmacy education with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for ethics-related instruction. This session will present ideas for AI-augmented development of case scenarios and assessments, plus a demonstration of ChatGPT's potential role in addressing philosophical questions and ethical challenges. Its capabilities and limitations will be reviewed and by the end, you will be able to decide for yourself if artificial intelligence has a role to play in genuine ethical education.
