At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • By the end of this presentation, attendees should be able to provide evidence for the association between attendance and academic performance, student engagement, and professional identity formation.
Students still coming to class? If they are, how engaged are they with the material? One faculty member will discuss their experience with measuring student engagement in the context of required attendance. Additionally, evidence-based supported best practices will be provided to stimulate further discussion on required attendance, student engagement and professional identity formation.
