  • Understand the importance of community preceptors in facilitating experiential learning
  • Summarize existing activities and resources available to practicing community pharmacies that can be utilized to bolster APPE experiences
With one-third of pharmacy education rooted in experiential learning, the pivotal role of preceptors cannot be overstated. Our community preceptors have articulated a demand for strategies to meaningfully engage learners. In response, the Indiana pharmacy schools developed a preceptor toolkit offering readily available activities to integrate meaningful learning experiences, balancing educational priorities with professional responsibilities. In this session, you will walk away with a starting point to replicate similar activities at your own institution.
