Dr. Kathryn Litten is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy (UTCOP) and a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist with a practice site at CommUnityCare Health Center’s Southeast Health and Wellness Center in Austin, TX. She
received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Belmont University College of Pharmacy then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC and a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at CommUnityCare Health Centers. At the College she coordinates the required Ambulatory IPPEs and serves as an Ambulatory Care IPPE/APPE preceptor. She also teaches in Pharmacotherapy and
electives, such as Introduction to Ambulatory Care, Diabetes Care, and Herbal and Botanical Supplements. At her practice site, she is an Academia preceptor for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care residents. She is a member of multiple professional organizations, including as Secretary of Knowledge Management for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Tech SIG and in various capacities for the local and state- Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP). Her clinical interests include diabetes, cardiology, experiential education, and student mentorship.
