Dr. Srinath Pashikanti is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the L S. SKAGGS College of Pharmacy at Idaho State University since 2019. His team is developing enantiopure medicinally active agents using a chiral pool strategy. His current work is geared towards developing sphingolipid-based probes to study the significance of ceramide flux, and ion-channel potentiators for addressing age-related hearing loss. He earned his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from The University of Kansas (2014) and postdoc at Virginia Tech. Drug Discovery Center (2016).
Dr. Elizabeth Henderson is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences at Presbyterian College, School of Pharmacy. Her research interests are drug discovery and development of potential breast cancer agents. She earned her BS degree in Chemistry from Bennett College for Women and her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, FL. Her dissertation project focused on synthesizing tetrahydropyridines as potential anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer agents.
Dr. Xin Chen is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Clinical Sciences at the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Campbell University. She earned her PhD in Organic Chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences before she came to the US to complete postdoctoral research in antiviral drug discovery at University of Georgia and anticancer drug discovery at Purdue University. She then performed research as a research assistant professor at University of North Carolina. Her current research interests include anticancer drug discovery and exploring novel strategies for pain management.
