Philip Rodgers, Pharm.D., is an associate professor and serves as the Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He also serves as Vice Chair of Education for the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education. His scholarship and teaching roles focus on implementing and optimizing interprofessional education activities at the School and University level. As Director of IPEP, he serves to coordinate school-level interprofessional activities and serve as a liaison to the University’s Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice, involving 8 other schools and programs on the campus. He coordinates the Patient Care Experience 2 and the Interprofessional Diabetes elective, and teaches in other courses such as Patient Care Experience 1, Integrated Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacotherapy Foundations, and Pharmacology. Dr. Rodgers received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed residency training at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond, Virginia. He has been named a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
