Dr. Bhaskara R. Jasti, is a Professor of Pharmaceutics in the department of and Medicinal Chemistry department, at University of the Pacific. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from University of the Pacific, CA, MS in Pharmacology from Jadavpur University and BS in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University, India. He is a Fellow of AAPS, life member of AACP.
Dr. Jasti’s laboratory research is focusing on the transport and predictive modelling in oral mucosal drug delivery. He is also designing micelles with integrin ligands for the targeted delivery of chemotherapeutic agents. Dr. Jasti was recognized by University of the Pacific with Long’s Fellowship and Eberhardt Teacher Scholar, Distinguished Faculty of the year awards. Dr. Jasti is a founding member and served as the Chair of AAPS Bay Area Discussion Group (BADG). Dr. Jasti has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and co-edited 2 books. His work is funded by both federal (NIH, NSF) and pharmaceutical industry.
