Diana M. Sobieraj is the Director of Assessment at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island and subsequently completed a pharmacy practice residency at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Since her appointment as Director of Assessment in 2021, she is responsible for the programmatic and curricular assessment of the PharmD program and the School’s strategic planning process and monitoring. Diana works closely with both the Institutional Assessment Committee and the Curriculum and Curricular Assessment Committee in overseeing the assessment activities of the school. Recently, Diana began her term as the Secretary of Knowledge in the AACP Assessment SIG. Her scholarly interests surround assessment of student competence in the PharmD program. She continues to teach in the didactic PharmD curriculum, specifically within drug information courses.
Prior to her role as Director and as faculty in the department of pharmacy practice, she provided over a decade of clinical pharmacy services in both the ambulatory care and internal medicine practice settings. Over this period, she served as a preceptor for P4 pharmacy students completing Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in both practice settings and for PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents at Hartford Hospital (Hartford, CT), in academia, medical writing, research, and scientific literature evaluation.
