Deanna Tran, PharmD, BCACP, FAPhA is Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland and a PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency from Virginia Commonwealth University/Martin's Pharmacy. Dr. Tran is a course manager of the Self-Care and Non-Prescription Pharmacotherapy course for nine years. She also coordinates the skills-based lab course, Abilities Lab 4 (focusing on community and ambulatory practice), and assists in other laboratory courses for immunization and community dispensing activities. She is an active member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, including currently serving in the AACP PioneerRx Workgroup, AACP/ACT Pharmacy Collaborative Community Pharmacy Practice Transformation Educators Badge Workgroup, and previously serving as Secretary of the Laboratory Instructors Special Interest Group. Her research is focused on scholarship of teaching as well as clinical services in a grocery store pharmacy. Dr. Tran is a Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Maryland Family and Community Medicine and coach for CPESN-MD Flip the Pharmacy. She is co-leading the curricular redesign at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.
