Tessa Hastings, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences Department at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Outcomes Research and Policy from Auburn University in 2019.
Dr. Hastings’ research uses implementation science methods and principles and is broadly dedicated to reducing preventable infectious diseases and improving health outcomes among underserved populations. Her research includes implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve immunization coverage, specifically through pharmacy-based services in rural communities. Hastings currently serves as the AACP Graduate Education SIG's Secretary of Knowledge Management. In addition to serving the SIG as Secretary of Knowledge Management and chairing the Communications Committee, she has also been a member of the SIG's Recruitment and Diversity committee for the past two years and was appointed to the 2021-2022 AACP Research and Graduate Affairs Standing Committee.
