Elizabeth Unni, PhD, MBA, BPharm is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Social, Behavioral, and Administrative Sciences at the Touro College of Pharmacy in New York. Dr. Unni teaches the healthcare systems in the United States, pharmacy professionalism, and pharmacy management and leadership. Her research is mainly focused on patients' self-management of chronic disease conditions, with emphasis on medication adherence. She develops theoretical models and scales to understand and measure medication adherence and publishes them widely. She holds leadership positions with the American Pharmacist Association, International Society of Quality of Life, the Academy of Communications in Health, and the Society of Behavioral Medicine. She is also a current fellow of AACP's Academic Leadership Fellows Program.
