Timothy K. Fincher, RPh, PhD is a graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy (1992) and the University of South Carolina Graduate School (1998). Dr. Fincher served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy from 1997-2002. He then spent 14 years with Kmart Pharmacies in various postions including Pharmacy Manager, Arkansas State Coordinator, and District Manger (AR, LA, MS, TN, CA, OR). Since October 2017, Dr. Fincher has served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at William Carey University School of Pharmacy teaching Calculations, Non-sterile Compounding, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics. He currently serves as Co-chair of Curriculum Committee, Chair of Co-curriculum, and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. In addition, Dr. Fincher currently is a member of the School's Covid Taskforce and Safety Committee and was previously Chair of Academic Standing Committee, and member of Admissions, Experiential Education, and Professional Development Commitees. Dr. Fincher serves as the co-sponsor of the student chapter of the National Community Pharmacists Association. His scientific research interests include pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic and physiologic modeling of drugs, particularily those associated wtih the HPG axis. Educational research interests includes the interelationship between curriculum, co-curriculum (including student orgs), and assessment in forming the culture of an institution; and methods to improve problem-solving ability of pharmacy students. Outside of the workplace, Dr. Fincher enjoys playing tennis and golf and is an active member of Rotary International.
