Dr. Cheryl Abel is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) School of Pharmacy-Worcester where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Dr. Abel is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS and serves as the Assistant Dean of Pharmacy Academic Affairs and Operations. Prior to this role she served as the Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
At MCPHS Dr. Abel serves as a course coordinator for Self Care Therapeutics, NAPLEX Readiness and Preparation and Application Through IPPE course. She is a member of several committees including the school’s curriculum committee, assessment and student faculty relations committee. She has also served on the steering committee of AACP’s Nonprescription Medicines Academy where she co-chaired the networking committee for the annual meeting. Dr. Abel is also involved in the New Hampshire Pharmacists Association Scholarship Foundation where she has served as chair for over ten years.
Accolades include academic of the year, preceptor of the year, 2013 Bowl of Hygeia recipient and advisor of the year. In addition to Dr. Abel’s love of teaching, she is a certified life coach and provides life coaching to students of pharmacy at the school.
