Dr. Jarrett received her BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also went on to earn her PharmD. After her PGY1 residency at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI and PGY2 residency in Ambulatory care at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, she worked as the Director of Inpatient Pharmacotherapy Education and Director of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at UPMC St. Margaret as a part of their Family Medicine Residency Program. During her work at UPMC, she additionally completed a Masters in Medical Education at the University of Pittsburgh. Jennie joined the Department of Pharmacy Practice as an Assistant Professor in 2016. Her current research work focuses on workforce development and training specifically to maximize interprofessional primary care teams to improve patient care for vulnerable, underserved populations with substance use disorders.
