Cheryl Durand is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS University with a focus in Infectious Disease, and Well-Being and Resilience. Dr. Durand graduated from Northeastern University in 2002. At MCPHS, Dr. Durand is a preceptor for Institutional APPE students. She is a preceptor and a mentor for PGY1 residents on a Longitudinal Teaching Rotation and has offered a Postgraduate Teaching Seminar residents and fellows for the past several years. She has served as a member on the NH Board of Pharmacy Continuing Education Advisory Council and has been a board member of the New Hampshire Pharmacists Association since 2005 (formerly President and Vice President of the association). Dr. Durand is also a recipient of the 2014 Trustees’ Award for Teaching Excellence at MCPHS University and the NH recipient of the 2021 Bowl of Hygeia Award. Prior to joining MCPHS in 2007, Dr. Durand spent several years as a Clinical Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacy Manager in different hospital settings. Dr. Durand is also a certified mindfulness teacher, a certified yoga instructor and health/life coach. She offers stress management programs to faculty, staff, students, residents and fellows.
