Krista Donohoe began a full-time faculty appointment at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy in August 2011. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science and serves as the Skills Laboratory Director and Chair of the Curriculum Committee. She primarily teaches third year students in the classroom and fourth year students at an interprofessional, collaborative care coordination clinic that serves vulnerable older adults in low-income housing in the Richmond metropolitan area. Dr. Donohoe has been very involved in the American Academy of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Laboratory Instructors Special Interest Group (SIG). She served as Chair-Elect and Programming Chair in 2015-2016. In the following year, she served as Chair of the Lab SIG and Resolutions Committee. In 2017-2018, she served as Immediate Past-Chair and Chair of the Nominations Committee. Her research interests are in the scholarship of teaching and learning and geriatrics. She has been published in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning, where she also serves as a peer-reviewer and is a past recipient of the AACP Emerging Scholars Award in July 2019.
