Dr. Gayle Brazeau, Professor Pharmaceutical Sciences, at the Marshall University School of Pharmacy (MUSOP). She received her B.S. Pharmacy and M.S. Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toledo and her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University at Buffalo. She has served as Dean at the MUSOP and the University of New England College of Pharmacy. She has also worked at the University of Houston (UH), University of Florida (UF) and UB. She currently serves as the AJPE Editor-in Chief and has served as the AACP Chair of the COF, Secretary of the COD, and on numerous AACP Committees. She has received teaching/student recognition awards from UB, UF and UH. Her scholarly interests are curricular assessment, student learning, and leadership development. She is the author/co-author of over 125 peer-reviewed papers, invited papers chapters, and books. She is a member of the 2005-2006 ALFP Program. She received the first Maine Pharmacy Association Douglas H. Kay Distinguished Educator in 2017. Dr. Brazeau received the AACP 2020 Robert K. Chalmers Distinguished Educator Award. She has also received the 1999 Distinguished Alumni Award from the UT College of Pharmacy and the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2021 Willis G. Gregory Memorial Award. She currently serves on the Boards for Hospice of Huntington, Fairfield Community Development Corporation, and the Tri-State Chapter for the American Red Cross. Dr. Brazeau has been married to her best friend, Daniel, for over 44 years and they live with their two Labrador Retrievers, Mendel, and Tory.
