Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Tina Zerilli, PharmD, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, at Long Island University. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the College in 2002, graduating at the top of her class, and subsequently joined the College as a drug information specialist at the International Drug Information Center. She joined the College faculty in 2007 and in this role has taught drug information and literature evaluation, medical writing and communication, and in pharmacy practice skills laboratories. In addition, she has precepted students in drug information and academia advanced pharmacy practice experiences. Dr. Zerilli has served on numerous College and University committees, chairing the Assessment Committee for several years and co-chairing several self-study steering committees. Between 2017 and 2022, she served as the College’s Director of Assessment. In recognition of her achievements, she received the University’s David Newton Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2015 and the Founder’s Award, which recognized her service to the College, both as a staff member (2006) and as a faculty member (2023). In line with her expertise, Dr. Zerilli’s research and scholarly work have revolved around drug information practice/resources, programmatic assessment, and assessment of student learning. She is a member of several professional organizations and is active within AACP.
