RPHARM Program Director, Clinical Assistant Professor

Heidi Olson, PharmD., is the Director of the Rural Pharmacy Education (RPHARM) Program, clinical assistant professor, and a clinical pharmacist at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy. She is a residency-trained pharmacist that was born and raised in rural Northern Illinois. She has clinical practice experience in geriatrics, cardiology, and internal medicine. Her research interests include rural pharmacy, community outreach, and interprofessional education. She has extensive experience developing partnerships that help meet the health needs of community members, enrich student-learning opportunities, and fulfill the goals of partnering organizations. Her teaching experience includes patient care simulations, communication, rural health, and women’s health. She is a founding member of the Rural Pharmacy Consortium and is interested in learning from and networking with others involved in rural pharmacy.
