Michael Fulford is Assistant Dean for Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Initiatives and Director of Faculty Affairs in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia. He holds an MEd in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Georgia and a PhD in
Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University. Dr. Fulford has worked professionally in higher education with demonstrated expertise in assessment, curriculum and instruction, and policy development since 1998. He was the lead author of the CAPE Assessment White Paper, ‘Are you
CAPE-ABLE? An Assessment Blueprint for Learning Experiences and is currently co-leading the COEPA-CABaNA Collection of Articles focused on assessment of COEPA. He also currently serves as Chair of the SIG Cabinet and serves in many capacities with AACP including recently help plan and implement Ai initiatives, SoTL certificates, and other small ways he serves the association. Dr. Fulford also is currently leading the Translational Education in the Health Professions Initiative at UGA which seeks to bridge practice and education and transform the way we teach in health care education by using immersive technology and Ai. He is the founder and owner of EdutainRx, LLC which provides consulting and training for organizations that educates and entertains. He loves to find ways to make seemingly boring topics more than just bearable, but believable and fun.
