Julie Oestreich, PharmD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy in Ohio. Dr. Oestreich earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University and her Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She was also awarded a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research Skills. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Saha Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Prior to her appointment at the University of Findlay, Dr. Oestreich served as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy and Director of the Research Office at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Areas of research interest for Dr. Oestreich include pharmacogenomics and educational gaming, and she has several publications in the area of platelet function and antiplatelet effectiveness. She teaches pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and calculations in the pharmacy program and enjoys incorporating new technologies and activities into the classroom.
