Dr. Dana Bowers, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP, is an Associate Professor at Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (WSU CPPS). She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Central Washington University, received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (WSU CPPS), completed a PGY-1 residency at Providence St. Peter Hospital, and a clinical research fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy/St Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. After fellowship training, Dr. Bowers established and directed an antimicrobial stewardship program as a clinical pharmacy specialist in infectious diseases, was a clinical pharmacy manager, and a residency program director of a PGY-1 residency program in Arizona. In her current position as an associate professor at WSU CPPS, she teaches clinical infectious diseases, pharmacotherapy, and pharmacokinetics. Her research interests include treatment of resistant Gram-negative infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
