Clinical Assistant Professor

In 2021, Dr. Chardaè Whitner joined the Jacksonville Campus of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy as a clinical assistant professor. Additionally, she took on the role of Jacksonville Campus Coordinator for the Office of Access, Belonging, and Community Health. Dr. Whitner earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her education, she pursued further training by undertaking a community-based pharmacy residency with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in Jacksonville.
At UF Health Jacksonville's Total Care Clinic, Dr. Whitner actively engages in clinical practice. Her primary focus is on medication therapy management and optimization, with a special emphasis on addressing health literacy barriers among patients with uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes.
Dr. Whitner's professional interests span several areas, including diversity, inclusion, health equity, bias, and the mitigation of health disparities among underserved populations. She is dedicated to improving health literacy and increasing cultural awareness and appropriateness among healthcare professionals.
