Cherokee Layson-Wolf, PharmD, BCACP, FAPhA, is a professor in the Department of Practice, Science and Health Outcomes Research and has served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy for ten years. In her role, she oversees the Office of Student Affairs which provides services such as recruitment, admissions, records and registration, career services and student success. Dr. Layson-Wolf is highly involved in supporting student organizations, including serving as advisor for the student government association and co-advisor for the APhA-ASP chapter. She has served as president of the Maryland Pharmacists Association and is involved in advocacy efforts including coordination and participation in Legislative Day events, participating in proposed legislation and regulation drafting, and testifying to various legislative for pharmacy-related bills. Dr. Layson-Wolf has served previously as director of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy community residency program and continues to precept. Dr. Layson-Wolf’s main area of expertise is in pharmacy-based immunization delivery and has served as an immunization certificate trainer for pharmacists and student pharmacists for over 15 years.
