Shannon Tucker, PhD, MS, CPHIMS, is the Assistant Dean of Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. As Assistant Dean, Shannon leads initiatives in academic technology, digital health applications, accessibility, instructional design, web development, and academic scheduling. She also acts as a bridge between Academic and Student Affairs, fostering inclusive learning environments and program management practices that enhance student well-being. Her teaching emphasizes core technology skills and professional communication strategies. Shannon received her PhD in Instructional Technology from Towson University, her MS in Interaction Design and Information Architecture from the University of Baltimore, and her BA in Imaging and Digital Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Shannon is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
