Research and Education Informationist

Rachel Whitney, MLIS, AHIP (she/her) is a Research and Education Informationist at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Libraries where she is the liaison for the College of Pharmacy and the College of Heath Professions’ Speech-Language Pathology program. Rachel co-teaches for credit courses in the College of Pharmacy, including Introduction to Drug Information and Medication Safety, as well as various Interprofessional courses open to all graduate students. She also teaches about drug information resources and library resources through embedded instruction throughout her liaison areas. Her areas of interest are evidence-based librarianship, drug information, epidemiology, health information literacy, and data management and visualization.
