Dr. Dawn Havrda is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assessment and an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Texas. She completed Pharmacotherapy and Primary Care specialty residencies in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Havrda is board certified in Pharmacotherapy. She has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy in 2009 and is a 2009-2010 graduate of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Academic Leadership Fellows Program. She was an ambulatory care practitioner for over 20 years and worked in various team-based settings to create pharmacist-run clinics to monitor chronic diseases. She served in various academic roles prior to coming to the University of Tennessee. Her research interests are in the areas of academic affairs and student predictors of success.
