Beth Phillips is Rite Aid Professor and Assistant Department Head for Residency Programs at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director, and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Kansas. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Specialized Residency in Ambulatory Care at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. She is a Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and Ambulatory Care, and a Fellow of ASHP and ACCP. Prior to joining the University of Georgia in 2007, she was a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a clinical faculty member at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. She is heavily involved with didactic and experiential teaching of Pharm.D. students and Residents. She has a passion for integrating the Pharmacists Patient Care Process into teaching and training the next generation of pharmacists.
