Dr. Chelsea M. Baker is the Associate Director of the Professional Skills Laboratories and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. A native of West Lafayette, she pursued her PharmD education at Purdue University. After graduation, she completed a PGY-1/PGY-2 in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD where she also received her MBA in Medical Services Management from the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business. Dr. Baker has worked in community pharmacy and medication safety prior to joining the faculty at Purdue.
In her current role, she divides her time between course coordination within the professional skills laboratories and her clinical practice at the Purdue University Center for Healthy Living where she provides medication management under a collaborative practice agreement for Purdue employees and their dependents. Dr. Baker was awarded the Indiana Pharmacists Association Medication Safety Award in 2016 and the American Pharmacists Association Distinguished New Practitioner Award in 2017. She lives in Zionsville IN with her husband Randy, daughter Savannah, and Dobermans (Maverick and Harley) and enjoys any opportunity to be outdoors or at the lake.
