Rashi Waghel, PharmD, BCACP is an Associate Professor at Wingate University School of Pharmacy. She received her PharmD from the University of Georgia and then completed a PGY-1 residency at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina before starting at Wingate in 2012. As a practice faculty member, Dr. Waghel teaches students in both the classroom and experiential settings. In the
classroom, Dr. Waghel primarily teaches in the Skills Lab course, Integrated Pharmacotherapy 1 (Self-Care) course, and Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes elective. As a board certified ambulatory care pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, she focuses on diabetes and prediabetes education, medication management, weight loss, and smoking cessation at her practice site. She is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.
