David Fuentes EdD, PharmD, MSOL, SHRM-CP, has served as an academic administrator across several roles and initiatives, including administrative and leadership roles overseeing academic affairs, assessment, accreditation, diversity, equity, and inclusion, faculty development, admissions and enrollment, student services, instructional design, and curricular development. Currently, he serves the University of Portland on various university-level initiatives across interdisciplinary programs, including our College of Arts & Sciences, School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Education and Graduate Studies, and School of Nursing & Health Innovations. Specific interests include leadership development for staff and faculty, as well as supporting inclusive teaching/teaching excellence, and promoting cross-discipline collaboration campus-wide. David is certified in Gallup strengths-based coaching, lean systems, human resources, and team-based learning, in addition to having formal education in organizational leadership and higher education with an emphasis on organizational psychology.
