Elizabeth D. Weed is an Assistant Professor and Director of Experiential Education at the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Pharmacy. In her most recent teaching role, her focus has been on student wellness, psychopharmacology, and teaching students how to learn. Prior to this she was an Assistant Professor with a clinical psychiatric pharmacy practice at the Lindner Center of Hope and taught psychopharmacology at the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP) and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Charleston, South Carolina. She brings with her experience in mental health and substance use treatment. Her educational and professional background is varied and includes a Master of Social Work from Smith College, a pharmacy residency with the Department of Defense and the Veteran’s Administration, and experience in academic detailing.
