Rosalyn Padiyara Vellurattil, PharmD, CHCP
Dr. Rosalyn Padiyara Vellurattil is Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes, and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy (UIC COP). She oversees the Office of Assessment and is involved in curricular and programmatic assessment, faculty development, accreditation, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives at the College.
Dr. Vellurattil received her Doctor of Pharmacy from UIC COP and completed post-graduate training in primary care and education at Midwestern University. She also completed fellowships in teaching excellence at the UIC College of Medicine, and leadership through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
Dr. Vellurattil has served as educator, researcher, and mentor for two decades. She authored “Pharmacy Research: A How-To Guide for Students, Residents, and New practitioners”, and was Lead Editor of “A Pharmacist Parent’s Guide to Work-Life Balance.”
She has been nationally recognized for her efforts, including the 2016 AACP Award for Excellence in Assessment and the 2018 ACEhp Award for Excellence in Educational Design. In 2019, Dr. Vellurattil was part of a multidisciplinary faculty team receiving the prestigious AACP Rufus A. Lyman Award.
Her interests include assessment, personal/professional development, and pharmacy education.
