Dr. Surajit Dey is a Professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Roseman University of Health Sciences and has taught and coordinated pharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics courses and the compounding labs for the last 19 years. His area of research is in ocular drug delivery, focusing on novel formulations for ophthalmic diseases, and he has authored and co-authored numerous publications on ophthalmic drug delivery. He is also an adjunct faculty member for the orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics residency program and an adjunct faculty at JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (AHER), India.
Dr. Dey has been a long-serving member of AACP and is very active in various committees. He is an active member of Assessment, Graduate Ediucation, and Global Education SIG and the Pharmaceutics Section. He has served on multiple committees within each SIGs and Sections. He is the current Chair of the Global Education SIG and chair the Recruitment and Diversity subcommittee of the Graduate Education SIG. He has presented multiple podium sessions and round-table presentations at the last few AACP meetings. He also serves as an editorial board member of the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE), and an accreditation site visitor for ACPE and an item writer for NABP. Dr. Dey has also completed AACP’s Academic Leadership Fellows Program (ALFP) for 2014–15.
