Director of Pharm.D. Admissions
University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, Iowa
Liz Davis, M.A. has served as the Director of PharmD Admissions at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy since 2021. Prior to her role in the College of Pharmacy, Liz spent the previous 10 years of her career in undergraduate admissions and developed a passion for connecting students with opportunities that aligned with their aspirations.
She received her BA in Music Performance from Simpson College and while working in the Student Development Office on campus, she established a deep understanding of student needs and the importance of providing access to education. She completed her M.A. at Ball State University where she worked in the Undergraduate Admissions Office as a graduate student.
From Muncie, she moved on to Buena Vista University where she served as the Assistant Director of Admissions and worked closely with student ambassadors while also mentoring new admissions counselors. In 2014, she settled in Iowa City and started her journey as a Hawkeye by being the first Associate Director of Student Recruitment for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
After transitioning to the College of Pharmacy in 2021, she was reminded how powerful one-on-one student interactions can be. While the work is challenging, the connections are meaningful and long lasting.
Outside of her professional work, Liz remains active in professional associations such as AACP as well as the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with her husband, Jeremiah, and their two-year-old daughter, Nora.
