Otito Iwuchukwu, RPh, PhD, MA, FCP is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy in New Jersey where she teaches Pharmacogenomics and Pharmacokinetics in the core pharmacy curriculum. Her areas of research interest include pharmacoenomics of cardiovascular diseases and liver transplantation as well as clinical research on rare diseases such as cystic fibrosis. She also does research on group dynamics and organizational leadership, having completed a master of arts degree in organizational psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Psychology and Counseling.
Dr. Iwuchukwu has been an active member of AACP since joining the association in 2016. She is a member of the Biological Sciences Section, the Women Faculty, Minority Faculty, Health Disparities and Cultural Comptency, and Pharmacogenomics Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
A Pharmacist-Scientist, Dr Iwuchukwu obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences) from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed an NIH T-32 pharmacogenomics focused fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University serving as chief fellow, receiving the Clinical Pharmacology Fellows Teaching Award in 2015.
Dr. Iwuchukwu has authored multiple peer reviewed manuscripts and given oral and poster presentations at various national and international meetings. A multipassionate and multicultural educator who is certified in cultural intelligence, Dr Iwuchukwu is also avid book lover and a professed foodie.
