Jeffrey A. Kyle, Pharm.D., BCPS is a Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Director of the Office of Experiential Education at Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Dr. Kyle earned his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2003 from the McWhorter School of Pharmacy and completed an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida in 2004. Following residency, Dr. Kyle joined the faculty at the Gregory School of Pharmacy at Palm Beach Atlantic University. In 2008, he returned to the McWhorter School of Pharmacy as a faculty member where he continues to serve. In addition, to his administrative and academic teaching responsibilities, Dr. Kyle is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, with a practice encompassing internal medicine, infectious diseases, and critical care at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama. As such, his scholarly activities revolve around these clinical areas as well as student teaching and learning effectiveness. Dr. Kyle is a member and serves on various committees in AACP, ACCP, ASHP and the Alabama Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Outside of professional life, he and his wife have two daughters who stay busy in soccer.
