Justin Andrade, PharmD, BCIDP is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Touro College of Pharmacy and practices as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Dr. Andrade’s interests in scholarship of teaching and learning include enhancing student legislative advocacy competency via curricular integration to improve advocacy for the pharmacy profession by educating student pharmacists. As an avid member of the New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacist (NYSCHP) organization, Dr. Andrade has co-led a collaborative multicenter pre- and post –intervention survey-based study evaluating the “Impact of a Real-world Legislative Visit on Student Pharmacists’ Perceptions of Advocacy and Political Skill Inventory Scores”. Additionally, Dr. Andrade is a co-faculty advisor of the Student Society of Health-system Pharmacists (SSHP) organization at Touro College of Pharmacy and partakes in an annual statewide advocacy week coordinated by NYSCHP.
