Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Alex N. Isaacs, PharmD, MS, BCPS is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Purdue University College of Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Butler University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and subsequently completed a two-year pharmacotherapy residency at Butler University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN. He also recently completed his Master of Science in Educational Psychology from Purdue University Global. Within Purdue’s College of Pharmacy, he teaches within the pharmacotherapy sequence, the professional skills laboratories, and is a course co-coordinator for two professional electives. He maintains a clinical practice at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN, in which he serves as a clinical pharmacy specialist in internal medicine and a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. He has been actively engaged in leadership roles within the state of Indiana and national pharmacy organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). His research is focused on the scholarship of teaching and learning for pharmacy students and residents. Through his research endeavors, he hopes to contribute to the advancement in the education and training of pharmacy learners.
