Jenny A. Van Amburgh, BS, PharmD, RPh, FAPhA, FNAP, BCACP, CDE is a Clinical Professor and Assistant Dean, Office of Student Affairs in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bouvé College of Health, Northeastern University. Her teaching focuses on self-care, wellness, telehealth-telepharmacy medication management, disease prevention and health promotion. Her scholarly interests include patient-centered care outcomes in community health centers and telehealth, teaching methodologies, and faculty and leadership development. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored textbook chapters. Dr. Van Amburgh’s clinical practice expertise is in ambulatory care and telepharmacy services.
Complementing her practice and scholarly interests is her involvement in professional associations. Dr. Van Amburgh is actively involved in American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American Pharmacist Association (APhA), and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) through nominated committee work. She serves on several AACP committees and task-forces, and as lead planning member for the AACP Nonprescription Medicines Academy (NMA) Conferences. Dr. Van Amburgh has received several recognitions including AACP’s 2007 Crystal APPLE Award, 2010 Innovations in Teaching Award, and the 2011 Excellence in Assessment as well as MPhA’s 2012 Nathan Goldberg Award and the 2007 Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award.
