Subrata Deb, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, PhD, Chair and Associate Professor, Larkin University College of Pharmacy, Miami, FL.
Dr. Subrata Deb is currently the Chair and an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Larkin University College of Pharmacy (Miami, FL). His research is focused on the application of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME)-based principles to understand the disposition of vitamin D/other lipid derivatives and therapeutic agents in prostate cancer. His work on cytochrome P450-related interactions of drugs and natural products with endobiotics and xenobiotics has highlighted the vital role of metabolic interactions in disease pathophysiology and experimental therapeutics. Dr. Deb uses in silico tools such as simulation of ADME and their associated interactions in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) modelling with GastroPlus software (Simulations Plus Inc.). The proposed session will highlight Dr. Deb’s past experience in carrying out ADME and PK simulation research with PharmD students.
