Dr. Edith Mirzaian is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Assistant Dean of Curriculum at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. She is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and holds the Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. In her role as Assistant Dean of Curriculum, Dr. Mirzaian led the digital transformation of the doctor of pharmacy curriculum at USC, engaging various resources to assist in faculty professional development in redesigning courses to succeed in the virtual education era.
Dr. Mirzaian’s clinical practice experiences include implementation of a wide range of pharmacist-led patient care programs in medical clinics and community pharmacies, development of collaborative practice agreements with physicians to provide chronic disease management and preventative health services in clinics and pharmacies. Dr. Mirzaian also helped establish and served for 7 years as the Director of the USC Medication Management Center which provides health plans and PBMs solutions to exceed CMS-mandated medication therapy management (MTM) goals and improve medication adherence and patient satisfaction with MTM services. Dr. Mirzaian is a national faculty trainer for the American Pharmacists Association Pharmacy Based Immunization Training Program, Travel Health and Diabetes Care Program and has served in an advisory role for the Pharmacy-based Immunization Training program.
