Laura Borgelt, PharmD, MBA is a Professor in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Chief Operating Officer of the Gates Institute at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She has extensive experience in interdisciplinary education, clinical practice, research, and professional service. She has been a successful faculty member for over 20 years with an emphasis on women’s health and patient safety. She is especially passionate about helping colleagues advance in their chosen career paths. Laura’s communication experience spans more than 250 presentations to nearly 100,000 people in local, national, and international audiences in medicine, pharmacy, psychology, nursing, physical therapy, and public health. She has written over 100 publications including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and textbooks. Her additional experiences as Associate Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives at the CU Anschutz campus and Associate Dean of Administration and Operations at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy demonstrate her strong commitment to effective strategy and using team-based approaches to solve complex problems.
